- Established as the Kawagoe Plant of the former Santoku Kogyo Co., Ltd., specializing in the production of special steel
- 1949:
- Reorganized under the Corporate Reconstruction and Reorganization Act as the second company of the former Santoku Kogyo Co., Ltd., and rebranded as Shin Santoku Kogyo Co., Ltd.
- 1963:
- Became a listed company on the over-the-counter market
- 2000:
- Established Yamamoto Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. as a consolidated subsidiary
- 2004:
- Listed on the JASDAQ Securities Exchange
- 2009:
- Initiated the Shinhokoku Group Structural Reform Plan, consolidating steel casting production at Yamamoto Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
- 2010:
- Made Yamamoto Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary
- 2011:
- Renamed Yamamoto Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. to Shinhokoku Mie Corp.
- 2017:
- Merged with Shinhokoku Mie Corp.
- 2021:
- Renamed Shinhokoku Corp. to Shinhokoku Material Corp.
- 2022:
- Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market following the market restructuring
